The Subaru Niagara Running Series will be back in 2013 with at least seven events and hopes of more to come.
What an incredible year for running 2012 turned out to be for me. As my season comes to a close, I can’t help but look back and smile at some of the great experiences I’ve had because of running.
Ran the Candy Cane Lane 5k on the weekend and for the second year in a row, this course got the better of me.

Sometimes you just have to gut it out to the very end because it ain’t over ’til it is over.
Of course, I know this. But it was definitely a lesson learned during last weekend’s Casablanca Classic in Grimsby, the final event for the 2012 Subaru Niagara Running Series. I ran the eight kilometer race, finishing fourth overall and placing first in the 30 to 34 men’s age group.
Looks like my days as a streaker are over. At least for now.
It’s probably one of the toughest things to shake. You know, that sinking feeling you sometimes get that you’re missing something. Like that race you’ve been training for six months for.
