Organizers say Sunday’s Valentine’s Day 5k (Feb. 10) will go as scheduled despite a wicked winter storm burying St. Catharines under a blanket of snow.”We are runners rain or shine,” said Dave Smith, race director. “Sunday is to be sunny so plans are still going forward. Times just might be a bit slower.”
It’s the 33rd annual running of the Valentine’s Day race, which is organized by St. Catharines Road Runners and Walkers. The race will take runners through Port Dalhousie. Click here for more information. Registration is $35.
This will be my first race of 2013 and my first race in the snow. Ever.
“This is a fun, low-key race with a great post-race party and all money goes towards Gillian’s Place.”
