Hi, I’m Rob Lapensee and I’m challenging the Guinness World Record for fastest half marathon dressed as a fruit at the Niagara Falls International Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 15.

While earning a Guinness World Record at the Niagara Falls International Marathon’s half will be really special, I want these miles to mean even more – I hope to inspire my daughters – and everyone, really – to be healthy and active, to follow their hearts and live their dreams.

I’m also helping the Niagara Falls International Marathon provide shoes for children who need them through the Fit it Forward program. Every dollar donated to this program goes directly to buying a pair of running shoes for a school-aged young person in Niagara.

Make a donation and help me support the Niagara Falls International Marathon’s good work helping children to be healthy and active. $60 will buy a new pair of running shoes for one child. You can pledge as little as $5 using the Niagara Falls International Marathon’s online donation form (scroll to the bottom of the page to find it). Tag donations with GrapeRun2017 in the ‘Are you making this donation on behalf of someone or a particular project?’ box.

If you do make a donation be sure to tag it with GrapeRun2017 in the ‘Are you making this donation on behalf of someone or a particular project?’ box.

Thanks for your support.
