I’m attempting to set the Guinness World Record for fastest half marathon dressed as a fruit Oct. 15 at the half at the Niagara Falls International Marathon. I’m running as grapes.

I base my training on Daniel’s Running Formula, Third Edition, by Jack Daniels (it’s 100 per cent running related, I promise!). I’m following the half marathon plan. However, it’s more of a guide as I personalize the training to fit my life and needs. I sometimes have to be flexible with schedule.
With three weeks to go until my Guinness World Record attempt in nearing the end of the block. Here’s a general schedule of what that is going to look like:
Sunday – long run
Monday – easy run
Tuesday – easy run
Wednesday – workout – threshold run
Thursday – easy run
Friday – easy run
Saturday – easy run
Race day is Oct. 15 in Niagara Falls.
