That's mean running in my grape costume.

I’m attempting to set the Guinness World Record for fastest half marathon dressed as a fruit Oct. 15 at the half at the Niagara Falls International Marathon. I’m running as grapes.

You can following my training activities on Strava. Here are some details about my current phase of training:

jd bookI base my training on Daniel’s Running Formula, Third Edition, by Jack Daniels (it’s 100 per cent running related, I promise!). I’m following the half marathon plan. However, it’s more of a guide as I personalize the training to fit my life and needs. I sometimes have to be flexible with schedule.

With three weeks to go until my Guinness World Record attempt in nearing the end of the block. Here’s a general schedule of what that is going to look like:

Sunday – long run
Monday – easy run
Tuesday – easy run
Wednesday – workout – threshold run
Thursday – easy run
Friday – easy run
Saturday – easy run

Race day is Oct. 15 in Niagara Falls.
